PYTHON BASICS

Recommended Age and Prerequisites

Students with middle school level knowledge or those entering middle school. No Prior Coding Experience Needed. Requires simple math skills (basic math operations, knowledge about decimals, comparing with < > =,  Intro to exponents would help but not needed)

Curriculum

Week 1 - Intro to Python, Google Collab Setup, Variable Intro, Integers, Float, Booleans, Arithmetic Operations
Week 2 - Strings (Concatenation, Slicing, etc.), Lists, Inputs, Conditionals (if statements)
Week 3 - For loops, While loops, Functions and variable scope
Week 4 - Dictionaries and Tuples, Modules, Intro to Classes and Objects

Quizzes and mini-activities are also incorporated in the lessons.

*Pacing of class may change over time but all content will be covered

Next Batch and Method of Teaching/Meeting Platform

The next batch will start around 13th July 2024. There will be one class per week on the weekends that will last around an hour, and may extend up to 90 minutes. Meetings will be held online on Zoom and will be recorded in case of an absence. Meeting links will be sent to you after registration.
